About OluKai
Why does OluKai name each of their products Polynesian words?
The Polynesian culture is an oral history, passed along through storytelling. Naming our products with Hawaiian words is our small way of spreading and preserving the culture for future generations.
How does OluKai reduce its environmental footprint?
We use natural latex in our gum rubbers, 30% recycled material in all our outsoles, and 100% recycled material in our packaging. We source all of our leathers exclusively from environmentally conscious ISO-14001 certified tanneries. We are exploring water-based glues, however, at this time the sub-par bond durability outweighs the benefits. We will make the switch once the bonding strength improves. We consider making high-quality, long-lasting footwear as one way to reduce our environmental footprint.

Returns
What is your returns policy?
Rest easy, we offer returns within 30 days from the date your order ships at OluKai.com.au. Items must be in new, unused condition with the original packaging and tags.
We offer two options for returns and exchanges.
1. Return for an eGift Card
2. Return for a refund back to the original payment method.
If you no longer have access to the original payment method, please select an eGift Card as your refund option instead. We will begin processing your new order or email your eGift Card as soon as the Returns Team processes your exchange. Shipping charges are not refundable.
Shipping
Where do you ship from?
All of our orders are shipped from our Distribution Centre at 2/5 Aero Road, Ingleburn, NSW, 2565.
Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?
If you enter a P.O. Box at checkout your order will be held until we can verify a physical shipping address for you.
How long will it take my order to ship?
All orders are dispatched from our warehouse within 1 business day. Due to the evolving Covid-19 situation, shipping carriers have received an influx in shipping volume causing short carrier delays.
When your order ships, you will receive a confirmation with the tracking information letting you know it’s on the way.
Products
How do your shoes or sandals fit?
All of our products display fit information for how the style runs in size, width, and arch. Reference the “Fit Guide” on the product page of the style you are interested in. You will need to scroll down on the product page until you see a Fit Guide that looks like this.
If I wear a half size in shoes, how should I size my OluKai sandals or slippers?
Our sandals and slippers only come in full sizes. Fit can be a bit difficult to determine, as it is usually your personal preference. In most cases, sizing up to the next size will offer the best fit.
For example, if you wear a 10.5 in shoes, a size 11 will likely fit you best in our sandals and slippers.
Please keep in mind if your feet are narrow or wide, this may affect the fit of our footwear.
Are OluKai leather sandals and shoes waterproof?
OluKai leather sandals and shoes are water-resistant, not waterproof.
Do you carry vegan footwear?
Yes! We have two basic types of product at OluKai, Mauka (towards the land) and Makai (towards the sea). Our Makai products are made to be water friendly and made from all synthetic material, no animal products. Our Mauka products are generally closed toe and predominately made with leather; however we do have Mauka closed toe styles that use canvas or twill that are 100% synthetic. View material details on the product details tab under each product. Vegan styles are noted in the product description on our site. Note that “synthetic leather” is 100% synthetic.
Where are your products made?
All of our footwear is designed and developed in the United States and manufactured in Vietnam and China.
